Network Engineer – Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Design & Implementation: Plan, design, deploy, and support global data centers and campus networks.
- Cloud Connectivity: Configure and integrate AWS, Azure, and GCP with on-prem and cloud data centers.
- Network Monitoring: Ensure proactive monitoring with alerts for all network devices.
- Project Management: Handle multiple high-impact projects simultaneously.
- Documentation: Maintain network knowledge base and operational Run Book.
- Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with teams to support 24/7 engineering farms, business applications, and infrastructure.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential network risks and issues.
- Maintenance & Upgrades: Perform regular upgrades and patches on network devices.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in enterprise network infrastructure.
- Strong expertise in IP networking, L2/L3 protocols (OSPF, BGP), LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, QoS, VLAN, ACL, NAC, and cabling.
- Experience with HPE/Aruba, Cisco, and multi-vendor switching/routing technologies.
- SD-WAN implementation experience.
- Proficiency in hybrid cloud networking is a plus.
- Expertise in VPN encryption, modern switching platforms, firewalls, and policy management.
- Experience with Citrix, F5 load balancers is a plus.
- Strong skills in network monitoring, security policy implementation, and automation.
- Hands-on experience with Wireshark, NetFlow, and low-level network troubleshooting.
- CCNA, CCNP, or Cloud certifications preferred.
- Degree in Computer Science or related field.
