Role Overview
Drive the successful delivery of technology initiatives by applying Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, to encourage collaboration, continuous improvement, and efficient project execution. Work closely with stakeholders to clearly define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment and shared ownership of project goals.

Lead and inspire a diverse, cross-functional project team by providing clear direction, ongoing support, and mentorship throughout the project lifecycle. Cultivate a positive, collaborative, and results-driven team environment to unlock productivity and innovation.

Oversee project timelines and budgets, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery of key milestones. Champion open and transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders to keep all parties informed on project progress and evolving requirements.

Uphold rigorous quality assurance practices to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed industry and organizational standards. Maintain thorough and up-to-date project documentation, including plans, reports, and meeting records, to ensure visibility and accountability.

Regularly update senior leadership on project performance, highlighting key accomplishments, risks, and forthcoming milestones. Promote a culture of continuous learning by facilitating retrospectives and sharing best practices to drive ongoing process improvements.


Location & Travel Requirements
This role requires the ability to collaborate in person with Scout colleagues and attend company-related events as needed.

  • In-Person Attendance: Minimum of 3 days per week in office, with occasional participation in meetings and events.
  • Travel: Occasional domestic travel to locations such as South Carolina, Virginia, and California.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP or Agile (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster) are highly preferred.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of proven experience in IT Project Management, ideally within the automotive sector.
  • A proactive self-starter with a strong track record of delivering complex technology projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, managing external vendors, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Project Management & Delivery

  • Deep knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, SAFe).
  • Skilled at managing multiple concurrent IT projects, ensuring alignment with broader business strategies.

Technical & Industry Expertise

  • Solid understanding of enterprise IT systems, integrations, and infrastructure.
  • Expertise across SDLC methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, DevOps, and Lean, with the flexibility to adapt approaches based on project needs.
  • Familiarity with automotive industry IT standards, regulations, and best practices is highly desirable.

Communication & Leadership

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage both executive stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities.
