About the Role
Are you an experienced IT Support Technician looking for an exciting opportunity to support a growing business? At Toolstation, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our teams—whether in retail stores, distribution centers, or remote offices—have seamless access to IT systems. Your expertise in troubleshooting, servicing, and managing IT incidents will keep operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Provide Technical Support
- Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting colleagues with IT-related issues.
- Accurately log incidents and service requests while ensuring timely resolution.
Diagnose & Resolve IT Issues
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems across various platforms, including Google Chrome OS, Microsoft Windows, and macOS.
- Work with third-party suppliers for hardware servicing, software updates, and warranty management.
Incident Management & Documentation
- Track and document IT support requests using the IT Service Desk system.
- Ensure records in the Configuration Management Database and Knowledge Base remain accurate and up to date.
Collaboration & Communication
- Liaise with internal teams and external vendors to escalate and resolve IT issues efficiently.
- Provide technical support via phone, email, Google Hangout, or in person, ensuring clear communication with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience as an IT Support Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Google and Microsoft business tools.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to new challenges.
