Role Overview: IT Support Technician – Nottingham
As an IT Support Technician – Nottingham, your primary responsibilities will include:

Delivering first and second-line support for hardware, software, and AV equipment.

Managing and resolving technical issues both in-person and remotely.

Providing training and guidance on IT best practices to users.

Key Responsibilities for IT Support Technician – Nottingham

Respond promptly to support requests, ensuring minimal disruption to university operations.

Maintain and troubleshoot IT infrastructure, including computers, printers, and network devices.

Assist in the deployment of new hardware and software solutions.

Document technical procedures and create user guides to facilitate self-help resources.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:

Minimum NVQ Level 2-3 or equivalent in IT or related field.

Proficient in Microsoft operating systems and applications.

Experience with ITSM ticketing systems.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable:

ITIL certification.

Technical accreditations (e.g., Microsoft MCSA, Cisco CCNA).

Experience with Audio Visual equipment.

Previous experience in the Higher Education sector.
