Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain servers, domains, operating systems, applications, storage, and peripherals to ensure seamless IT system performance and evolution, aligning with operational requirements.

Monitor and manage IT infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, databases, and datacenter operations, ensuring optimal uptime and efficiency.

Enhance security by proactively identifying vulnerabilities, monitoring systems daily, and implementing timely upgrades and mitigations to maintain a secure network.

Provide frontline IT support by installing, configuring, and updating workstations, mobile devices, printers, and essential software while delivering prompt assistance to users.

Collaborate with laboratory staff and third-party vendors to diagnose and resolve system or application issues efficiently.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of hardware, software, licenses, and system configurations for effective tracking and management.

Work closely with the LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) team, ensuring uninterrupted functionality and support for critical laboratory processes.

Drive technology advancements by researching, recommending, and implementing innovative IT solutions, including automation for system administration and maintenance tasks.

Develop and implement system monitoring solutions to proactively manage IT infrastructure and front-end systems.

Administer and enhance back-end system capabilities, optimizing performance and reliability.

Oversee backup systems by ensuring regular monitoring, maintenance, and testing to safeguard data in compliance with ACZ’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Provide on-call support outside business hours, working alongside the IT Manager to address critical issues as needed.
Required Experience & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Proven expertise in administering and troubleshooting Windows, Linux, Cisco, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, O365, Oracle databases, Veeam, Hyper-V, and LAN/WAN networks.

Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and set priorities effectively.

Excellent communication skills, fostering strong professional relationships across the organization.

Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language is beneficial but not required.
