About the Role
NSF is launching a Retail Food Safety Junior Auditor Development Program, designed for motivated students and recent graduates eager to build a career in food safety and auditing. This intensive 6-week program combines virtual classroom learning with hands-on in-person training, equipping you with the knowledge and skills to evaluate diverse food service establishments.
Upon completion, you will play a vital role in NSF’s mission to protect public health and improve human and planet health through high-quality auditing practices.

Responsibilities
During the program, you will learn to:

Conduct 2nd party food safety audits for retail clients.

Summarize and evaluate audit findings with accuracy.

Communicate effectively with clients and account managers.

Educate food service operators on compliance and safety standards.
Qualifications

Current college junior, senior, or graduate student in a food science–related field.

Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Willingness to travel (up to 80% after program completion).

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overnight stays.

Valid driver’s license required.
