About the Role

NSF is launching a Retail Food Safety Junior Auditor Development Program, designed for motivated students and recent graduates eager to build a career in food safety and auditing. This intensive 6-week program combines virtual classroom learning with hands-on in-person training, equipping you with the knowledge and skills to evaluate diverse food service establishments.

Upon completion, you will play a vital role in NSF’s mission to protect public health and improve human and planet health through high-quality auditing practices.

Responsibilities

During the program, you will learn to:

  • Conduct 2nd party food safety audits for retail clients.

  • Summarize and evaluate audit findings with accuracy.

  • Communicate effectively with clients and account managers.

  • Educate food service operators on compliance and safety standards.


Qualifications

  • Current college junior, senior, or graduate student in a food science–related field.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Willingness to travel (up to 80% after program completion).

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overnight stays.

  • Valid driver’s license required.
