With 1,200+ lawyers, 300+ partners, and 28 offices across 17 jurisdictions, we are expanding our Risk Management team with the addition of a Junior Business Acceptance Analyst.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Junior Business Acceptance Analyst to join our Liverpool office, supporting the Business Acceptance Manager and Senior Business Acceptance Analysts in all aspects of new client and matter intake.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day tasks related to the firm’s Client and Matter Inception processes.
  • Conducting client due diligence and determining the necessary level of checks to comply with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Regulations.
  • Performing conflict searches, identifying, resolving, and escalating issues as needed.
  • Using internal and external databases to conduct research for due diligence.
  • Assessing the risk profile of new and existing clients and matters, escalating concerns where appropriate.
  • Advising partners, fee earners, and secretaries on AML regulations, inception processes, and conflicts queries.
  • Ensuring the creation, amendment, and maintenance of information barriers, highlighting any arising issues.
  • Assisting with ad hoc queries from the Risk Team’s inbox.
  • Contributing to team and firm-wide projects to support international operations.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in client due diligence or conflicts analysis (preferred but not essential).
  • Prior experience in an international law firm (preferred but not essential).
  • Understanding of SRA rules on conflicts of interest and confidentiality is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to research and present findings concisely.
  • Analytical skills to assess data, risks, and inconsistencies.
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Team-oriented mindset, supporting colleagues when required.
  • Adaptability to new processes and technology.

Education & Experience

  • A university degree is preferred.
  • Experience in a legal or professional services environment is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with compliance databases and IT systems is an advantage.
  • Open to graduates with a keen interest in business acceptance and compliance.
