Overview
We are inviting applications for a Junior Clinical Research Fellow in Spinal Surgery, based across two leading hospitals in Cardiff: the University Hospital of Wales and Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital.
This is a non-training post (no National Training Number) offering hands-on clinical experience and active involvement in spinal research. You’ll work alongside senior spinal fellows and nine experienced consultants covering a full range of spinal conditions—from degenerative spine disease to complex paediatric scoliosis.

Your Responsibilities

Assist in managing elective and trauma spinal patients

Support senior fellows in theatres and clinics

Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings (MDTs)

Contribute to spinal research projects and clinical audits

Help with day-to-day ward cover and patient care
