About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Data Analyst to play a hands-on role in identifying cost savings opportunities for clients through utility rate and billing analysis. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, comfortable interpreting complex regulations, and able to communicate directly with clients, utility providers, and government agencies. Previous experience with utility regulations, rates, and billing is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze financial, utility, and business data to identify client cost savings opportunities.

Utilize UtiliSave’s proprietary software for data analysis and reporting.

Engage with clients, utility companies, tax and regulatory authorities to gather information and implement savings strategies.

Interpret and match complex utility tariff codes to client usage data to find savings.

Collaborate with IT teams to enhance account review processes and develop analysis tools.
Requirements

Proficiency in at least one programming language: R, Python, or SQL.

Ability to grasp and explain technical, legal, and business concepts.

Preferred: 1–2 years in auditing or analyst roles.

Preferred: Experience with regulated public utilities, especially in rate billing analysis and customer interaction.

Preferred: Degree in business, finance, mathematics, or a related field.
