We are currently seeking a Kindergarten Teacher who is passionate, student-centered, and ready to guide young learners through a strong foundation in academic and social-emotional development.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans for kindergarten students

Evaluate and track students’ academic and social development; maintain detailed records and prepare progress reports
-
Communicate regularly with parents through email, conferences, and meetings regarding student progress
-
Collaborate with Subject Experts and other team members to identify and address student learning, health, and behavioral needs
-
Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse learning styles and needs of all students
-
Implement and follow IEPs and 504 Plans with fidelity

Supervise students during classroom transitions, recess, and other school activities
-
Occasionally represent BASIS Austin at school-wide or community events outside regular school hours

Provide classroom coverage or substitute as needed
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:

Eligible to work in Texas public schools

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field

Ability to pass a TEA fingerprint background check
Preferred Qualifications:
-
3+ years of experience teaching at the elementary level, preferably in Kindergarten
-
Master’s degree in Education or a related subject
-
Familiarity with differentiated instruction, standards-based grading, and child development best practices
