Job Details

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

  • Start Date: September 15, 2025

  • Shifts: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

  • Schedule: 3×12 or 4×12 per week

  • Unit: LDRP & Nursery

  • Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:1–1:3

  • Employment Type: Travel

  • Auto Offer: No interview required


Requirements

  • Experience:

    • 12 months RN experience (within last year)

    • 24 months of recent L&D unit experience (within last 3 years)

    • Epic experience preferred

  • Licensure: Active Illinois RN license (required)

  • Travel Only: Must live 70+ miles from facility (locals not eligible)

  • Certifications:

    • BLS (Basic Life Support)

    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

    • AWHONN Intermediate & Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring

    • STABLE (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, Emotional Support)

  • Other: COVID & Flu vaccination required (medical/religious declinations accepted)


Unit Information

  • Patient Types: Neonates, Infants, Adults

  • Procedures/Diagnoses:

    • Labor & Delivery, Antepartum, GYN patients, Gestational HTN, Diabetes, Multi-birth

    • C-sections, Inductions, Circumcisions, Hearing Screens, Newborn Screens, General Admissions

  • Equipment Used:

    • Giraffe Incubator, Panda Warmer, Hillrom Labor Beds

    • GE & Nihon Kohden Fetal/Patient Monitors

    • Obix Software

    • Alaris IV Pumps

  • Preferred Skills:

    • Level II Nursery

    • Circulate & Scrub Experience

    • Triage

    • Previous Charge Experience


Scheduling & Expectations

  • No on-call requirements

  • Must work 1 Friday, 1 Saturday, and 1 Sunday shift in every 4-week schedule (not required to be consecutive)

  • Orientation: 24 hours

  • Maximum time off allowed: 7 days (must be submitted at application)

  • Offers require a response within 24 hours
