Key Responsibilities:
-
Schedule and coordinate daily deliveries and pickups based on geographic areas and driver availability.
-
Manage additional delivery requests as they arise from patients and referrals.
-
Respond regularly and on-call to emergency delivery requests.
-
Ensure delivery staff depart on time and adhere to schedules.
-
Prepare employee performance appraisals and make recommendations on hiring, promotions, raises, and disciplinary actions.

Participate in training and development to build supervisory skills.
-
Occasionally assume supervisory duties during staff shortages.
-
Deliver and pick up equipment from patients’ homes, set up equipment, and instruct patients on its proper use. Provide assistance to patients encountering issues with equipment.

Ensure delivery team compliance with all regulatory requirements, including maintaining driver qualification files and adhering to hours of service, hazardous materials handling, daily logs, and vehicle inspections.

Maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs and incident reports.
-
Ensure vehicles are in safe, working condition and preventive maintenance is conducted promptly.

Supervise proper and timely loading of delivery trucks.

Assist delivery employees with special orders and equipment loading as needed.

Maintain accurate records of purchase orders for equipment and medical supplies.
-
Compile data related to delivery productivity, such as number of stops and miles driven.

Assign, direct, and coach staff.
-
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Minimum of five years related experience required
-
At least three years driving experience required
Licenses & Certifications:

Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with hazardous materials, cargo tank, and air brake endorsements required

Must comply with DOT, FDA, and JCAHO regulations
Computer Skills:

Proficient with MS Excel, MS Office, and MS Project
Language Skills:

Fluent in English (reading, writing, and verbal communication)
Mathematical Skills:

College-level math proficiency with strong ability to interpret and work with spreadsheet data
