Chesterfield College is currently seeking a passionate Learner Support Assistant to join our Student Experience and Wellbeing team. As a Learner Support Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities in a classroom setting. Key Responsibilities for Learner Support Assistant

Support students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities within college classrooms

Build positive, supportive relationships with learners, helping make education accessible

Follow instructions from teaching staff and adapt communication styles for students and colleagues

Use basic technology confidently to assist with classroom activities

Work as part of a motivated and dedicated team focused on student well-being and achievement
Skills & Qualities Needed for Learner Support Assistant

Ability to relate positively and calmly to students with varying support needs

Strong commitment to disability equality, inclusion, and student support

Competent using basic digital tools in an educational setting

Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt language for different audiences

Benefits for Learner Support Assistant

Salary: £22,845.22 FTE per annum (inclusive of holiday pay)

21 or 34 hours per week, 36 weeks per year
