Are you passionate about helping children succeed in their learning journey? We are currently looking for a Learning Support Assistant (SW16) to join a primary school in Lambeth. As a Learning Support Assistant (SW16), you will work on a daily supply basis to support students aged 5-7, providing valuable one-on-one assistance and contributing to a positive classroom environment. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on young learners’ academic, social, and emotional growth.
Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant (SW16):

Provide 1:1 support to students within the classroom to help them achieve academic goals

Assist the class teacher in implementing tailored educational plans

Support classroom management and help maintain a positive learning atmosphere

Foster students’ social and emotional development

Adjust teaching methods to suit the individual needs of each student

Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher

Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to enhance the learning experience
Key Requirements for the Learning Support Assistant (SW16):

Previous experience working 1:1 with students in a classroom setting

Experience with children aged 5-7

A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively within a team
