Learning & Teaching Librarian (Customer Services)

Permanent | Full-time | 37 hours per week (1.0 FTE)
Salary: Band 5 – £37,174 – £41,671 per annum

About the Role

The University of Suffolk Library is seeking a dedicated Learning & Teaching Librarian (Customer Services) to join our dynamic and supportive team. This permanent, full-time position plays a key role in developing subject-specific resources and support for learning and teaching across designated Schools and subject areas.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and delivering face-to-face and online learning resources, workshops, and one-to-one support sessions focused on information and digital literacy.
  • Leading the customer service provision within the library, ensuring an excellent user experience through evaluation, analysis, and process improvements.
  • Managing and supporting the front-of-house team to maintain an efficient and welcoming library environment.

Library & Learning Services sits within Student Success, at the heart of teaching, learning, and research at the University of Suffolk. We provide expert guidance and resources to support students throughout their academic journey, while also working closely with staff to enhance curriculum and pedagogy.

About You

We are looking for a qualified librarian with a passion for user experience and student engagement. The ideal candidate will:

  • Be proactive and excited to work in a small, collaborative team.
  • Have experience supporting both students and staff through learning resources and skills development.
  • Be committed to enhancing the library experience, both physically and digitally, through evaluation and innovation.
  • Demonstrate strong relationship-building skills across the university.
