Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; college degree or trade school certification preferred

  • Previous experience in a related role

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and as a team player

  • Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts and be available for on-call situations as needed

  • Proficient in maintaining, operating, and repairing surface equipment used in oil and gas production

  • Strong computer literacy along with excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Physically capable of lifting over 50 pounds and climbing ladders or stairways

  • Ability to use a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and other safety detectors and equipment


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure personal and team safety by strictly following and enforcing safety regulations

  • Serve as the primary operations contact for assigned facilities, understanding process flows, basic unit chemistry, major line-ups, and all safety equipment including isolation points

  • Monitor equipment and work areas using all senses to confirm proper operation

  • Issue Safe Work Permits, demonstrating deep knowledge of current operating conditions, chemical hazards, personnel, and process safety risks

  • Perform gas testing to ensure safe operating environments for maintenance activities

  • Conduct process monitoring such as reading gauge tanks, meters, taking samples, checking differential pressures, chemical injection rates, and detecting leaks or abnormal conditions

  • Perform visual maintenance by monitoring critical parameters like temperature, pressure, levels, flow rates, and vibrations to ensure equipment is within operational limits

  • Adjust process parameters as needed to maintain product quality within specifications

  • Maintain company vehicle in good working order

  • Coordinate oil sales and saltwater hauling, keeping accurate records and noting production changes

  • Verify control valve positions for proper alignment

  • Perform basic equipment maintenance including lubrication, water addition, tightening valve packing, filter changes, clearing blockages, and winterizing equipment

  • Communicate regularly with the Production Foreman about process conditions and equipment status

  • Monitor field equipment using electronic test devices and inspect safety equipment such as valves, fire extinguishers, hoses, and breathing apparatus

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within assigned business areas

  • Adhere to environmental policies and procedures, minimizing environmental impact and addressing issues such as flaring emissions and spills

  • Follow all workplace rules and continuously enhance job knowledge and skills

  • Demonstrate reliable attendance and the ability to work independently when appropriate

  • Support team efforts to achieve business objectives
