Position Overview
The Venables Library at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, is seeking a full-time Librarian I. This entry-level professional librarian role provides an opportunity to:

Support learners and faculty across the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences.

Deliver library orientations, instructional sessions, and research assistance.

Collaborate with faculty to ensure library collections meet academic and research needs.

Contribute to library-wide initiatives, including literature searching and special projects.

Manage daily operations at the Venables Library while working closely with colleagues across Mayo Clinic Libraries.
This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop as a health sciences librarian within one of the world’s most respected medical institutions.
Qualifications

Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program.

Preferred:
-
Experience in health sciences or scientific research libraries.

Beginning knowledge in leadership, library informatics, knowledge management, or instructional services.

Membership in the Medical Library Association’s Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP) at the Provisional level.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (Mayo Clinic does not provide sponsorships or participate in STEM OPT extension).
Compensation & Benefits
💰 Salary Range: $55,556 – $82,825 per year (Exempt, Full-Time, Day Shift)
