Salary Range: Based on experience

Master’s Degree/Step 1: $74,129

Doctorate Degree/Step 11: Up to $82,139 (for out-of-district candidates)

Qualifications
-
Hold a New Jersey Educational Services Certificate with School Library Media Specialist Endorsement (N.J.A.C. 6:11-6.1, 6.2, or 8.1, 8.3 et seq.).

Proven experience teaching and working with children.

Demonstrated ability in:
-
Collection development
-
Information technology
-
Research methodology
-
Designing library/media programs for children and adolescents
-

Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident status (Form I-9).

Must clear a criminal record history check by the Department of Education.

Provide evidence of adequate health to fulfill job functions (with reasonable accommodations if needed).

Must pass the Mantoux Tuberculin Test as required by N.J.A.C. 6:3-4A.4.

Other qualifications may be approved by the Superintendent if appropriate and legal.

Job Goal
The Librarian/Media Specialist is responsible for:

Developing and coordinating educational media services.

Assisting teachers and students in the effective use of the media center and information technology.

Supporting the school curriculum through access to resources.

Helping students build information literacy skills for academic success and lifelong learning.
