About the Role
The Montana State Prison Library Assistant plays a key role in managing library operations within the main prison facility and multiple satellite libraries. This role supports inmate education and rehabilitation by facilitating access to books, media, and research resources.
Key Responsibilities

Manage library circulation, inventory, and patron records.

Assist inmates in locating and using resources.

Circulate, reserve, and renew books and materials.

Handle interlibrary loan requests.

Catalog and organize print and digital materials.

Perform reference searches using various databases.

Supervise inmate use of library spaces and materials.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
-
Relevant experience in library services or administrative tasks preferred.

Other equivalent education or experience may be considered.
