Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse
Pay Rate: $22/hr

This is a great opportunity to advance your nursing career in a dynamic and rewarding setting. In this role, you’ll provide nursing services, training, and support to address the medical and psychiatric needs of individuals with brain injuries, intellectual and developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, and emotional or behavioral disabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the health conditions of individuals and ensure the quality of services provided.

  • Administer medications, document, and oversee staff who administer medications.

  • Provide medical treatments prescribed by a physician and personal care services.

  • Conduct assessments and implement healthcare services as part of each Individual Service Plan (ISP), responding to any changes in condition.

  • Train staff on topics such as universal precautions, infection control, and medication administration.

  • Serve as a liaison and advocate with medical and professional service providers.

  • Provide training to individuals on topics like self-medication, prescribed treatments, sex education, STD prevention, and smoking cessation.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing or related field, or a graduate of an accredited LPN program.

  • One year of experience in a nursing capacity working with the served population.

  • Current state LPN or LVN License.

  • Current driver’s license, car registration, and auto insurance.

  • Additional certifications required by state regulations such as CPR/FA, HIV/AIDS certification, BBP, and ACT training.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff, individuals, and families.
