Position Summary:
Pride Health is actively seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a leading healthcare facility in New Hyde Park, NY. This role involves direct patient interaction and clinical support, ensuring patients receive timely, compassionate, and high-quality care during their visits. The ideal candidate will bring clinical expertise, attention to detail, and a passion for patient-centered service.
Key Responsibilities:

Patient Reception & Preparation: Greet patients warmly and escort them to examination rooms. Confirm patient identity using approved protocols, update electronic medical records with current medical histories, and prepare patients for clinical assessments by providers.

Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and document vital health indicators such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiratory rate, height, weight, and oxygen saturation using standardized equipment and techniques.

Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT): Perform pulmonary assessments using spirometry equipment. Educate patients on the testing process, guide them through proper breathing techniques, and record results with precision for provider review.

Allergy Testing Assistance: Prepare materials and equipment for allergy testing procedures. Apply allergens using appropriate techniques (e.g., skin prick or intradermal methods), observe for adverse or positive reactions, and thoroughly document all findings in the patient’s chart.

Administering Immunotherapy: Deliver allergy shots in accordance with prescribed protocols. Verify each patient’s dosage and treatment schedule, closely monitor for any reactions, and document the administration process in compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications:

Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a clinical or healthcare setting.

Licensure: Must hold a current and active New York State LPN License.

Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Education: A Bachelor’s Degree is required for this position.
