Job Summary:
Pride Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support patient care services at Mount Sinai Health (MSH) in New York. This role is well-suited for LPNs eager to contribute to a collaborative healthcare team in a structured clinical environment. Responsibilities are consistent with standard LPN practice as defined by New York State and may adapt to future organizational needs.


Key Responsibilities:
As an LPN, you will provide supportive and restorative care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), physician, or dentist. Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver routine nursing care in non-complex clinical settings.

  • Assist patients with daily living activities (ADLs).

  • Administer treatments and procedures such as suctioning and catheterizations.

  • Prepare patients for surgeries, exams, and diagnostic procedures.

  • Administer medications and manage specimens for lab processing.

  • Set up and manage IV equipment and infuse fluids via peripheral access.

  • Administer blood products with appropriate IV therapy certification.

  • Monitor and report on patient status, treatments, and incidents to supervising staff; document all care accurately.

  • Contribute to care planning and coordinate with interdisciplinary team members.

  • Reinforce patient and family education as outlined by the RN.

  • Provide emotional and rehabilitative support in alignment with the patient’s care plan.

  • Promote safety and comfort for all patients.

  • Participate in care planning meetings and respond effectively to emergencies (e.g., initiate emergency protocols, perform BCLS).


Education & Training Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) education program.

  • Completion of the NYS Department of Health IV Therapy Program, including blood administration competencies.

  • Ongoing participation in annual IV therapy and care procedure reviews.


Licensing & Certification:

  • Active LPN License issued by the New York State Department of Health.

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
