Compensation Details:

  • A weekly tax-free stipend of $931.70 will be provided.

  • Additionally, a weekly taxable straight pay amounting to $720.00 will be paid.

  • This results in a total gross weekly compensation of $1,651.70.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and sustain intravenous (IV) lines to facilitate various therapeutic treatments and medical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout.

  • Skillfully perform venipuncture, including challenging “hard stick” blood draws, with precision and adherence to safety protocols.

  • Continuously monitor patients’ vital signs, observe symptoms, and review medical histories, accurately documenting all findings in compliance with clinical standards.

  • Administer prescribed medications and injections safely and efficiently, following physician orders and agency policies.

  • Coordinate patient flow within the clinic setting, working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and timely care delivery.

  • Provide clear and compassionate education to patients regarding their medications, treatment plans, and general health maintenance to promote informed healthcare decisions and adherence.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid and current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state of California.

  • Certification in intravenous therapy and blood draw techniques is mandatory.

  • Demonstrated strong proficiency in initiating IV lines, performing phlebotomy, and managing difficult or “hard stick” blood draws is essential.

  • A minimum of one year of professional experience working within an outpatient clinical environment is required.

  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from a recognized provider is necessary to ensure readiness in emergency situations.
