We’re expanding access to our specialized care through outpatient clinic partnerships across the country.
Position Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at the Wound Care Center (WCC) provides essential nursing support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider. This role involves wound care and other routine nursing tasks, following all applicable WCC and hospital policies, clinical protocols, and safety procedures. All work must comply with Healogics and hospital standards, as well as federal, state, and CMS guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver wound-related patient care under the direction of an RN or Provider, following Basic Life Support (BLS) protocols and approved procedures

Support vein clinic activities upon completion of specialized Healogics training

Assist with patient intake and discharge processes

Support case management activities as permitted by state regulations

Collect patient data and prepare necessary supplies and equipment

Report concerns about care quality to the Clinical Nurse Manager

Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes

Participate in hyperbaric oxygen therapy duties after completing required training
-
May serve as a hyperbaric safety director or documentation assistant (scribe) after completing relevant Healogics training
-
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
Graduate of an accredited or state-approved practical nursing program
-
Active LPN or LVN license in the state of practice (must be maintained throughout employment)

Minimum two (2) years of LPN/LVN experience, including at least one (1) year in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) setting

Wound care experience preferred
Skills and Competencies:

Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)

Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities

Familiarity with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Customer service and follow-up capabilities

Ability to remain calm under pressure and function effectively in a fast-paced team environment

Basic computer literacy and familiarity with electronic nursing documentation systems
