Line Cook Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards in food preparation and quality.

  • Ensure timely execution of orders.

  • Uphold excellent sanitation and food safety practices.

  • Assist with scheduled banquet functions.

  • Foster a professional and respectful working environment.

  • Minimize food waste and control loss.

  • Communicate equipment repair needs to the chef.

  • Participate actively in training and skill development.

  • Follow all safety protocols and workplace best practices.

  • Attend staff meetings and contribute to team discussions.

  • Inspect and date all received deliveries, reporting discrepancies to the chef.

  • Ensure all coolers are at the correct temperatures and cleaned daily.

  • Manage inventory requisitions and receive supplies as needed.

  • Prepare food according to production plans and forecast sheets.

  • Follow standardized recipes to maintain consistency in quality and taste.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education & Experience: Associate’s Culinary Degree with two years of culinary experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Certifications: ServSafe Certification is preferred.

Work Schedule

  • Main Hours: Tuesday–Saturday, during the lunch shift.
