As a Linux Administrator, you’ll play a critical role in deploying, securing, and maintaining Linux systems across our enterprise. This role is ideal for an experienced IT professional with strong Linux expertise who thrives in collaborative, fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage Linux systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).

Lead system deployment, configuration management, patch management, and disaster recovery planning.

Maintain system availability, redundancy, and security in line with industry best practices and company policy.

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.

Participate in weekly change and patch management reviews.
-
Proactively monitor performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure scalability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customized, secure, and scalable solutions.
-
Develop automation tools and processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
-
Create and maintain detailed technical documentation.
-
Serve as a subject matter expert on Linux OS and infrastructure.
-
Support compliance, vulnerability response, and remediation efforts.
-
Participate in after-hours support and on-call rotation when required.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
-
High School Diploma or GED.
-
5+ years of consecutive Linux administration experience in enterprise environments.
-
Expertise in Linux OS (RHEL 7+/CentOS 7+/Ubuntu 18.04+).
-
Strong knowledge of kernel, system libraries, job scheduling, and package management.
-
Intermediate BASH or Python scripting skills.
-
Proficiency with LVM, filesystems, and partitioning.
-
Familiarity with CIS benchmarks, SELinux, PAM, and firewalls.

Experience with patching tools (RPM, YUM, repos).
-
Experience with PXE boot and Linux installation automation (kickstart, Cobbler, FAI, etc.).
-
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, or participate in on-call rotations.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
-
Experience with Dell server hardware (10th–14th gen).
-
Knowledge of Git/Bitbucket version control systems.
-
Professional experience with containers (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Tanzu, etc.).

Familiarity with VMware vCenter and virtualization.
-
Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud environments.
-
Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and compliance audits (PCI, SOX, FedRAMP).
-
Hands-on with SAN storage and database systems (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL).
-
Experience managing large-scale server environments (100+ servers).
-
Certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or AWS Cloud Practitioner.

Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, SaltStack).

Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, SNMP, SSL/TLS, HTTP).

Advanced troubleshooting with Intel servers (Dell, HP, Lenovo/IBM, SuperMicro).

Salary & Benefits

Salary range: $83,470.17 – $95,155.99 per year (based on experience).
