We are seeking a Contract Linux Systems Administrator with strong expertise in Red Hat Linux to support a dynamic client in Cambridge. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving, challenging existing ideas, and creating effective, tailored solutions. You will play a key role in analysing business requirements, developing solutions, and ensuring the smooth operation of small system Linux administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Red Hat Linux systems.

  • Oversee identity management tasks (authentication, authorisation, user provisioning).

  • Manage and troubleshoot virtual networking technologies.

  • Provide training and create documentation for effective knowledge transfer.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.

  • Proactively identify issues and propose innovative improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in Red Hat Linux and general Linux system administration.

  • Strong understanding of identity management and user provisioning.

  • Knowledge of virtual networking concepts and technologies.

  • Ability to challenge existing ideas and deliver creative solutions.

  • Experience in user training and process documentation.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
