Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Locum Consultant in Neurophysiology to join the team at Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust. This is a full-time post consisting of 10 Programmed Activities (PAs):

  • 8 PAs of Direct Clinical Care (DCC)

  • 2 PAs of Supporting Professional Activities (SPA)
    All duties, both clinical and non-clinical, will be performed on-site at Royal Surrey.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and forward-thinking team providing high-quality neurophysiology services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outpatient neurophysiology services including EEGs, nerve conduction studies, and EMGs

  • Participate in multidisciplinary clinical meetings and case discussions

  • Contribute to the development and audit of departmental services

  • Provide clinical leadership and support to junior staff and allied health professionals

  • Undertake SPA duties including teaching, clinical governance, service improvement, and CPD

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive patient documentation in line with Trust policies

Essential Requirements

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise

  • CCT (or within 6 months of achieving it) in Clinical Neurophysiology or equivalent experience

  • Proven experience in performing and interpreting a broad range of neurophysiological investigations

  • Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Commitment to delivering high standards of patient care and clinical excellence
