About the Role
The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Clinical Fellow to join our highly respected Hip & Knee Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a large, dynamic multidisciplinary team delivering advanced orthopaedic care and surgical excellence.
You will be part of a collaborative team environment alongside consultants, junior doctors, and allied health professionals. The post is ideal for a candidate with a solid academic background and prior fellowship experience—particularly international—who is ready to contribute their skills to enhance service delivery and support clinical training.
Key Responsibilities

Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team including consultants, junior trainees, and healthcare staff.

Support the learning and ongoing development of trainees and junior doctors.

Contribute to the efficient and high-quality operation of clinical services in collaboration with local managers and colleagues.

Adhere to Trust policies, standing orders, and financial instructions in all clinical and administrative matters.

Participate in infection prevention measures and comply with the Trust Infection Control Policy.

Attend mandatory infection control training and maintain compliance as directed by the department or line manager.

Engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) that meets the criteria set by the Royal College of Surgeons.
Candidate Requirements

Strong academic foundation in orthopaedics or related discipline.

Ability to perform under pressure in a high-demand clinical environment.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within large clinical teams.

Prior fellowship experience is highly desirable (international experience preferred).

Commitment to clinical governance, safety, and CPD.

Knowledge of UK employment legislation and adherence to NHS protocols and infection control standards.
