Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Consultant Urologist to join our dynamic and supportive team. The postholder will contribute to the ongoing delivery of high-quality urology services, with opportunities to develop a subspecialty interest, participate in research, and support education at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical

Deliver high-quality care across general urology services

Provide support for a subspecialty interest, depending on departmental needs and the candidate’s experience

Participate in the general urology on-call rota (specific schedule to be confirmed)
Administrative
-
Perform the routine administrative duties required of an NHS Consultant, including:

Accurate documentation
-
Clinical correspondence
-
Participation in service planning and departmental meetings
-
Research
-
Engage in commercial and NIHR-approved trials as a:

Chief Investigator
-
Principal Investigator
-
Co-Investigator (based on previous experience)

Support audit, data collection, and research development within the department
Teaching and Supervision

Contribute to the teaching and supervision of:

Undergraduate medical students

Foundation, core, and specialty trainees

Participate in clinical education sessions, ward teaching, and formal assessments as needed
