Job Title: Logistics Operations Coordinator (Call Centre Based)

Location: Birmingham Business Park (Hybrid after training)

Salary: £27,723 per annum + 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays)

Working Hours: Mon – Fri (8-hour shifts between 6am and 6pm)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Role Overview:

As a Logistics Operations Coordinator, you will oversee day-to-day driver operations, providing essential support and ensuring that service levels and operational targets are consistently met. You will act as the key point of contact for drivers, offering guidance, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily driver operations, ensuring compliance with service standards.
  • Build strong relationships with drivers, providing coaching and support.
  • Allocate drivers based on skills, experience, and customer requirements.
  • Liaise with recruitment to maintain optimal driver coverage.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls with drivers, addressing any concerns.
  • Coordinate with the Planning Team for smooth journey execution.
  • Provide accurate updates to the Customer Service Team and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear communication through emails and calls with internal departments.
  • Offer emergency support on a rota basis for out-of-hours coverage.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a call centre or logistics coordination role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and in-house logistics systems.
  • Experience working independently and within a team environment.
