Role Overview: Logistics Operative
As a vital member of our Logistics team, you’ll manage essential day-to-day tasks including goods-in, materials handling, warehousing, packing, and distribution. Your role will support our production and customer satisfaction goals while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities

Perform a variety of logistics duties assigned by your Manager or Team Leader, covering goods-in, materials handling, warehousing, packing, and distribution

Maintain high Health & Safety standards in line with company policies and environmental health and safety regulations

Prepare and process required documentation and follow operational procedures within ERP systems

Support continuous improvement projects by applying lean manufacturing principles to optimise logistics processes

Maintain 6S standards, ensuring tidy workspaces and correct storage of tools and equipment

Support quality control by assisting with investigations and root cause analysis of non-conformance issues

Report near misses and contribute to ongoing safety and process improvements

Work flexibly across different logistics areas as business needs demand

Ensure compliance with ISO standards including ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, and ISO50001
What We’re Looking For
-
Previous logistics experience including materials handling, warehousing, packing, or distribution

Good communication skills, able to liaise effectively with colleagues and customers across diverse teams
-
Motivated, flexible, with a strong “can do” attitude

Exposure to lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
-
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ERP systems

Experience supporting investigations and root cause analysis in quality or logistics processes is a plus
