As a Logistics Operative – Packing, you’ll handle the preparation, packing, and labelling of components and products for transport, ensuring they’re safely delivered to customers, suppliers, and internal departments.

What You’ll Be Doing

Key Responsibilities for Logistics Operative – Packing

As a Logistics Operative – Packing, your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Packing parts, products, and components according to technical and customer specifications.

  • Checking batch numbers, part descriptions, and quantities against the SAP system, reporting issues to Cell Leaders.

  • Ensuring goods are correctly packed, labelled, and addressed for clear, accurate dispatch.

  • Confirming delivery instructions and identifying packages for shipment.

  • Working with the Logistics and Shipping teams to organize dispatch-ready goods.

  • Performing quality checks and self-inspections on completed work.

  • Learning multi-skilled duties within Detail Stores, Raw Material Stores, and Internal Transport operations.

  • Accurately picking, packing, issuing, and receiving materials, goods, and stock.

  • Managing internal transportation across the factory using forklifts, electric pallet stackers, and other equipment.

  • Supporting Raw Material Stores operations, including saw handling.

 Skills & Qualities

To succeed as a Logistics Operative – Packing, you’ll need:

  • Basic experience in stores or packing from a manufacturing or warehouse setting.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • A methodical, organized approach with excellent teamwork and communication skills.

  • The ability to follow instructions accurately, whether written or verbal.
