Job Description
H-E-B is looking for a highly skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Partner to join our team in Houston, TX. In this hands-on, technical role, you’ll support plant operations by ensuring all manufacturing systems and equipment are maintained at peak performance. You’ll work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment, reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader and collaborating with the Production Team.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Maintenance

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant systems and equipment across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, electronic, hydraulic, welding, and HVAC disciplines

Use AutoCAD to design or modify mechanical/electrical systems

Perform inspections, safety checks, and preventative maintenance on all facility equipment

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and documentation for electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems

Operate tools and machinery including welders, meters, gauges, mills, saws, grinders, lathes, and more
Specialized Systems
-
Electrical: Install and repair systems from 24V to 480V; operate meters, relays, transformers

Electronics: Troubleshoot PLCs (Modicon/Allen-Bradley), replace PC boards

Hydraulics/Pneumatics: Repair valves, pumps, pressure systems; interpret circuit diagrams
-
Refrigeration/HVAC: Maintain freon, glycol, ammonia systems; licensed required

Welding: Execute gas, arc, TIG, and sanitary welding for structural and pressure vessels
Safety & Compliance

Perform all work following safety guidelines including lock-out/tag-out procedures

Ensure compliance with federal/local codes and plant regulations

Support inspections and monitoring systems to meet temperature, fluid, and safety standards
Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Experience in manufacturing maintenance, electrical systems, and equipment repair
-
Ability to disassemble, repair, and reassemble process equipment

Current refrigeration license (for HVAC roles)

Willingness to travel (as needed), work rotating schedules, weekends, and holidays

Ability to lift 20 lbs regularly and over 20 lbs occasionally

Comfortable working in varying environments (wet, cold, hot, or temperature-controlled)
Preferred Skills by Area
Electrical:

Understand 3-phase systems, wire sizing, motor meg testing, electrical codes
Electronics:
-
Experience with PLCs, control systems, and digital diagnostic tools
Hydraulics/Pneumatics:
-
Read fluid schematics and troubleshoot pressure issues
Mechanics:
-
Knowledge of gear ratios, sprockets, and industrial machinery
HVAC/Refrigeration:

Maintain ammonia, freon, glycol systems; monitor pressures and temps
Welding:

Sanitary and structural welding, blueprint reading, precision fabrication
