Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and target potential clients within the upper mid-market segment through strategic prospecting, referrals, and effective use of technology and sales tools.

  • Serve as a trusted consultant to prospective clients, understanding their unique business challenges and recommending tailored Paycor solutions.

  • Conduct in-person and virtual meetings with prospective clients to present Paycor’s suite of products and services.

  • Build and nurture strong, lasting relationships with key referral sources to drive consistent pipeline growth.

  • Take ownership of accurate monthly and quarterly sales forecasting to meet business expectations.

  • Assess clients’ current business practices to uncover additional opportunities for value-added solutions.

  • Consistently achieve or exceed established sales activity metrics and revenue targets.

  • Support new client onboarding by ensuring the timely and complete submission of documentation and assisting in the successful processing of their initial payroll.

  • Collaborate closely with Client Services teams to ensure exceptional client satisfaction and seamless transitions.

  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all sales activities and outcomes in Salesforce (SFDC), ideally on a daily basis.

  • Partner with Implementation teams to guarantee smooth and effective onboarding for new clients.

  • Complete all required reports, including regular updates to CRM systems.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to less-experienced Sales Executives, as needed, in collaboration with the Regional Sales Director.

  • Exhibit a strong work ethic, professionalism, and a commitment to consistent attendance.

  • Uphold the highest standards of ethical business conduct.

  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3 to 6 years of successful experience in consultative B2B sales, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.

  • The ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal day-to-day supervision.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.

  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving capabilities.

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
