Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage potential clients in the higher employee band and more complex segments of the midmarket space through prospecting, referrals, and leveraging technology.
  • Consult with prospective clients to assess their business needs and recommend tailored solutions to address challenges effectively.
  • Conduct in-person and phone-based outreach to present Paycor’s products and services.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with assigned referral sources.
  • Take ownership of individual monthly and quarterly forecasts, ensuring accuracy.
  • Analyze current practices of potential clients to identify additional sales opportunities.
  • Meet or exceed established sales activity and revenue targets.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring the accurate submission of paperwork and seamless initial payroll processing.
  • Collaborate closely with Client Services to drive customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain timely and accurate sales activity records in Salesforce (SFDC), ideally updated daily.
  • Work alongside Client Services and the Implementation team to support smooth client onboarding and transition.
  • Complete required reports, including CRM updates, on a regular basis.
  • Provide mentorship and support to less experienced Sales Executives when needed.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, consistent attendance, and adherence to ethical business practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform each essential duty effectively. Required qualifications include:

  • 3-6 years of experience in consultative B2B sales with a proven record of success.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal direct supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
