Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify high-potential clients within the upper midmarket segment through proactive prospecting, strategic referrals, and the effective use of tools and technology.

  • Engage with prospective clients to understand their business challenges and recommend tailored solutions to meet their unique needs.

  • Conduct in-person and virtual meetings to present Paycor’s suite of products and services.

  • Cultivate and maintain strong, productive relationships with key referral partners.

  • Own and manage accurate monthly and quarterly sales forecasts.

  • Evaluate current client practices to uncover additional sales opportunities and deliver greater value.

  • Consistently meet or exceed defined sales activity goals and performance targets.

  • Support new client onboarding by submitting accurate documentation and ensuring a seamless initial payroll processing experience.

  • Collaborate with Client Services teams to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

  • Maintain up-to-date records of all sales activities and outcomes in Salesforce (SFDC), ideally on a daily basis.

  • Partner with the Implementation team to support smooth client transitions post-sale.

  • Complete required reports, including CRM updates and other documentation, in a timely manner.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced Sales Executives as needed.

  • Demonstrate professionalism, a strong work ethic, and consistent attendance.

  • Uphold high ethical standards in all business practices.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • 3–6 years of proven success in consultative B2B sales, preferably in a complex midmarket environment

  • Self-motivated and capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced setting with minimal direct supervision

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, presentation, and organizational skills

  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
