The Opportunity: Manager, Accounts Receivable
We are seeking a Manager, Accounts Receivable (AR) to join our growing Revenue Cycle team. In this leadership role, you’ll oversee AR staff performance, drive process improvements, and ensure effective management of claims, payments, and denials. You’ll collaborate closely with insurance providers, internal teams, and leadership to maximize collections, reduce denials, and strengthen financial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop AR department team members to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

Oversee day-to-day AR operations, including claim resolution, denial management, and payment posting.

Analyze AR trends, unpaid claims, and denial activity; implement strategies to reduce recurring issues.

Partner with Coding, Billing, and other Revenue Cycle leaders to identify and resolve systemic challenges.

Develop and manage departmental budgets, performance metrics, and monthly reporting.

Utilize HIS systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc.) and Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance revenue cycle performance.

Serve as a liaison between payers, providers, and internal teams to ensure effective communication.
Qualifications
Required:
-
3–5 years of management experience in the healthcare revenue cycle or AR.

Strong background in Medicare and Medicaid billing/collections.

Knowledge of HIS systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech) and intermediate-level Microsoft Excel.

Proven leadership, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

CRCR Certification.
Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Advanced degree or professional certification (preferred).

Experience in denials & appeals, compliance, provider relations, or professional billing.

Familiarity with DDE Medicare system and payer portals.
