What You’ll Do

Ensure Compliance & Drive Purpose:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Human Resources Manager to oversee HR functions, including policy development, program implementation, and compliance with regulations.
  • Serve as the liaison to Auburn University’s central human resources, ensuring consistent application of university, federal, and state HR policies and procedures.

Innovate & Enhance Performance:

  • Guide supervisors and managers through the performance management process, equipping them with tools to improve employee outcomes.
  • Design and deliver HR-related training programs and leverage HR data to craft innovative strategies for continuous improvement.

Collaborate & Strengthen Employee Relations:

  • Provide expert guidance to supervisors and managers on employee relations, performance management, coaching, and corrective action plans.
  • Cultivate strong partnerships within Advancement and with AU’s central human resources to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

Champion Advancement & Philanthropy:

  • Ensure that HR practices support a culture of engagement, inclusion, and excellence, aligned with Auburn University’s philanthropic and institutional objectives.
  • Promote an environment where employees feel valued and motivated to contribute meaningfully to the success of Advancement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Purpose:

  • Partner with the Senior HR Manager to manage HR operations within the Office of Advancement, aligning policies and procedures with organizational objectives.
  • Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, exit interviews, and position development activities.
  • Ensure all HR practices are mission-driven and support Auburn’s Advancement goals.

Collaboration:

  • Advise leadership on employee relations matters and performance improvement strategies.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental communication and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.

Innovation:

  • Guide leaders through performance management and training processes.
  • Leverage HR data and technology to identify trends, drive efficiencies, and enhance HR programs.
  • Stay informed on evolving HR trends to ensure best-in-class practices.

Production:

  • Oversee HR administrative operations, including payroll processing, employee records, reporting, and database management.
  • Monitor key HR metrics to evaluate the success of HR initiatives and continuously improve processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, including 3 years in Employee Relations and 2 years in two or more specialties: recruitment/staffing, compensation, performance management, training, or benefits.

Skills & Certifications

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems is preferred.
  • Ability to occasionally work in production areas requiring biosecurity measures and PPE.

Additional Information

  • Salary Range: $59,130 – $100,520
  • Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:45 AM – 4:45 PM
