Beyond our main campus in Godfrey, we offer instruction at multiple locations, including the N.O. Nelson Campus in Edwardsville, the Scott Bibb Center in Alton, Community Education Centers in Carlinville and Jerseyville, and the Bethalto Training Center. We also extend our reach into public high schools across a seven-county district. Other key campuses include the National Great Rivers Research and Education Center in East Alton and the Mannie Jackson Center for the Humanities in Edwardsville

Key Measurable Expectations (KMEs)

  • Provide leadership and strategic coordination for program planning and decision-making to ensure the success of the CEJA Workforce Hub.
  • Report regularly to the Governing Board on program status, needs, and challenges through scheduled planning meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with the CEJA Navigator to manage outreach, recruitment, and intake processes.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of high-quality, culturally responsive training programs and curricula designed to prepare participants for careers in the clean energy sector.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with employers, educational institutions, community organizations, and other stakeholders to create opportunities and support for program participants.
  • Identify and secure funding sources and grants to sustain and expand the Hub’s impact and initiatives.
  • Represent the Hub at various events and forums while promoting its achievements and best practices to key audiences.
  • Monitor and evaluate program performance and outcomes, providing regular reports and insights to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure equitable access for all participants across training and support services.
  • Oversee daily operations of the CEJA Workforce Hub.
  • Manage the program’s budget and expenditures.
  • Ensure compliance with all programmatic and fiscal requirements, including timely submission of reports.
  • Maintain and strengthen Advisory Council membership through regular communication to discuss program updates, challenges, opportunities, and solutions.
  • Support professional development initiatives for the team and partners, with a strong emphasis on fostering an equitable and inclusive culture.
  • Collaborate with the Transition and Support Coordinator to oversee participant retention and follow-up activities.
  • Work alongside the Project Support Assistant to collect and analyze participant data through surveys and other methods, using insights to inform program improvements.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as education, environmental studies, social work, or business administration, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • At least five years of experience in managing and implementing workforce development, education, or community engagement programs, preferably within the clean energy or environmental sector.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Strong knowledge and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, with the ability to engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish trust and rapport with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiastic and supportive approach when working with participants, team members, and partners.
  • Ability to function effectively as part of a team.
  • Established relationships with local clean energy and/or community partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and other relevant software platforms.
