About the Role
Belton Foods is seeking an experienced Manager of Warehouse Operations to lead all warehousing, logistics, and shipping activities at our Dayton, Ohio manufacturing facility. In this hands-on leadership position, you’ll oversee daily operations, optimize inventory management, and ensure efficient, on-time shipments — all while driving continuous improvement and cultivating a high-performance warehouse team.
You’ll play a key role in aligning warehouse operations with our core mission: to deliver every order on time and according to plan.
Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations:
Oversee all warehouse functions including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and order staging. -
Team Leadership:
Supervise, train, and coach warehouse staff (5–8 employees), ensuring high standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency. -
Inventory Management:
Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO), and reconciliation with production usage. -
WMS & Reporting:
Leverage Warehouse Management Systems and other technologies to track performance metrics and improve workflow. -
Process Standardization:
Create and implement standardized processes across all warehouse functions (e.g., packaging, labeling, stocking, shipping). -
Shipping & Receiving:
Manage inbound and outbound shipments including scheduling, inspection, and proper documentation. -
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure all operations adhere to OSHA standards and company safety protocols. Lead warehouse safety initiatives. -
Forklift Operation & Equipment Oversight:
Operate and maintain warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks. -
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with manufacturing and company leadership on strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives. -
Reporting:
Prepare and deliver regular updates on warehouse performance, staffing, inventory, and improvement efforts. -
Logistics Coordination:
Manage transfers of finished goods between production and off-site warehouse locations.
Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Supply Chain, Operations, or Business Management). -
Experience:

10+ years of experience managing warehousing or distribution center operations.

Proven leadership skills with experience supervising teams.

Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS).
