About the Role
SafeRide Health is hiring an experienced Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Manager to lead a team of skilled technology professionals dedicated to ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance. This role focuses on maintaining high service availability, defining and monitoring Service Level Objectives (SLOs), managing incidents, driving automation, and collaborating with development teams to optimize system design and mitigate operational risks.
The ideal candidate is both a strategic leader and a hands-on technical expert who thrives in fast-paced, mission-driven environments.
Key Responsibilities

Reliability & Availability: Ensure systems operate smoothly with minimal downtime and maximum performance.

Automation: Build and maintain tools and scripts to automate deployments, configuration, and monitoring processes.

Monitoring & Alerting: Develop and manage systems for proactive performance monitoring and issue detection.

Incident Management: Lead incident response, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis with follow-up prevention plans.

Capacity Planning: Forecast system resource needs to support future growth and scale efficiently.

Risk Mitigation: Identify and reduce operational risks in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Performance Optimization: Analyze performance metrics to enhance application and infrastructure efficiency.

Leadership & Coaching: Manage and mentor a team of SRE professionals through regular check-ins, coaching, and performance reviews.
Minimum Requirements

8+ years of experience in IT, Software Engineering, Technology Operations, or Business Continuity.

3+ years of hands-on experience in Site Reliability, DevOps, or IT Observability roles.

2+ years of direct team leadership or supervisory experience.

Proficiency with production monitoring tools (DataDog preferred).

Basic understanding of AWS and infrastructure as code in containerized environments.
