Overall Purpose of the Role

The Education Consultant will be responsible for promoting international education, supporting students in their application process, and helping the team meet recruitment targets. This role requires a mix of sales, marketing, communication, and administrative skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Share in the responsibility of recruiting international students and supporting the centre to meet its recruitment targets

  • Proactively plan and execute marketing activities (online and offline) to promote UKEC’s services

  • Provide accurate and professional consultations to students regarding university applications, visa guidance, and career planning

  • Liaise between students and partner universities: arrange interviews, track application progress, and advocate for students when necessary

  • Represent UKEC at education fairs, university interviews, open days, and off-site visits for student counselling and outreach

  • Participate in regular company training sessions and represent UKEC at university briefings and familiarisation trips

  • Maintain accurate records and keep the Centre Manager informed of application statuses or issues

  • Support with any other administrative or consultancy-related tasks as required by the manager or senior team

Person Specification

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline

  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken)

  • Excellent sales and marketing abilities, with a proven record of meeting sales targets

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills

  • Strong organisational skills, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team

  • Must have legal permission to work in the UK

Desirable:

  • 1+ year of relevant experience in international education consultancy or a similar field

  • An existing network or customer base within the local international student community

  • Familiarity with the UK higher education system
