About the Role

Great Hearts Texas (GHTX) is seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager to lead content strategy, design execution, and brand storytelling that supports enrollment, fundraising, and organizational visibility. Reporting directly to the Director of Strategic Communications, this role is responsible for managing creative campaigns across digital, print, and social platforms while ensuring consistency with the GHTX mission and values.

You’ll collaborate with Enrollment, Development, and Executive teams, while also supporting local campuses with marketing deliverables that showcase scholar achievement, faculty excellence, and our commitment to classical education.


Key Responsibilities

Marketing

  • Manage editorial content to drive strong brand storytelling around GHTX’s mission, scholars, and faculty.

  • Oversee social media campaigns (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.), including strategy, training, execution, and performance tracking.

  • Design and produce digital + print collateral for enrollment, advertising, and awareness campaigns.

  • Coordinate photo, video, and design production, ensuring timely delivery and quality execution.

  • Support enrollment advertising with campaign copywriting, creative design, and strategic assets.

  • Monitor paid and organic performance metrics, analyze funnel analytics, and optimize marketing automation workflows.

  • Assist in website updates (WordPress) and improve SEO performance for district and academy subsites.

Communications

  • Draft and edit press releases, executive announcements, and district-wide communications.

  • Create long-form content (blogs, impact reports, thought leadership) to strengthen brand reputation and SEO.

  • Travel to campuses to capture student life, cultural events, and achievements.

  • Support public and media-facing events (ribbon cuttings, donor engagements, groundbreakings).

  • Participate in crisis and emergency communications alongside the Director of Strategic Communications.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.

  • 3+ years of professional experience in marketing, communications, or design.

  • Proven track record of campaign strategy, content calendar management, and storytelling.

  • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills (portfolio required).

  • Proficiency with social media management tools and digital content creation platforms.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive communications.

  • Willingness to travel within Texas for campus and event support.


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with CRM platforms and campaign management.

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite or similar design tools.

  • Familiarity with K–12 enrollment strategy and education marketing.

  • WordPress and basic SEO knowledge.

  • Project management experience with Asana, Monday, or similar tools.

  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

  • Alignment with GHTX’s mission of classical education and ability to thrive in a collaborative, lean environment.
