Role Overview
As our Marketing and Social Media Manager, you will lead the creation and implementation of marketing campaigns, social media strategies, community outreach initiatives, and in-store promotions. You’ll play a vital role in strengthening our local identity and connecting with new and existing customers through authentic storytelling, engaging content, and community partnerships.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Marketing

Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the store and its local product offerings

Plan and manage in-store events, local collaborations, and seasonal campaigns

Design and update marketing materials, including managing content for our website

Evaluate campaign performance and recommend improvements based on analytics
2. Social Media Management

Create and schedule original, engaging posts for platforms like Instagram and Facebook

Share stories about local producers and showcase their products

Respond professionally to comments, reviews, and direct messages

Track performance through analytics and adapt content strategies accordingly

Stay up to date with trends and apply relevant ideas to improve reach and engagement
3. Community Engagement

Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, charities, and groups

Represent Parkfoot at community events and collaborate with partners to extend brand reach

Strengthen Parkfoot’s role as a trusted, community-focused retailer
4. Charity and Community Initiatives

Plan and promote charity drives and awareness campaigns

Partner with local organisations like food banks and non-profits

Create content to showcase charitable efforts and encourage community participation

Report on the impact of these initiatives to share with stakeholders and customers
5. Team Collaboration

Work closely with store staff to align marketing with business goals

Collect customer insights to tailor campaigns accordingly

Keep the team informed of upcoming events, promotions, and social media activity

Provide light training to team members on promoting our values in-store
What We’re Looking For

Experience in marketing, social media management, or community outreach
