Key Responsibilities of the Pardot Marketing Specialist
Pardot Strategy & Execution
- Manage and optimize multiple internal/external Pardot instances (setup, configuration, ongoing support)
- Design and implement automated engagement programs (drip campaigns, lead nurturing, segmentation)
- Align Pardot workflows with marketing and sales strategies
- Assist in project management for large-scale Pardot initiatives
Campaign Management
- Build and launch email campaigns, landing pages, and forms within Pardot
- Create automated nurture campaigns and identify cross-sell touchpoints
- Monitor and troubleshoot email-related issues
- Optimize campaigns using performance metrics (CTR, open rates, conversions)
- Ensure GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and data privacy compliance
- Serve as an internal subject matter expert on email marketing best practices
List Management
- Develop and manage dynamic/static lists to support campaigns
- Maintain data hygiene (audit, deduplicate, segment contacts)
- Manage opt-in/opt-out preferences and suppression lists
- Collaborate with CRM admins to ensure Salesforce data sync accuracy
- Validate audience lists for campaigns, A/B tests, and reporting
- Continuously refine segmentation strategies using campaign analytics
Lead Lifecycle & CRM Integration
- Manage lead scoring and grading models to improve sales handoff
- Partner with Salesforce CRM administrators for seamless data flow and reporting
- Troubleshoot sync issues with Pardot, Salesforce, and third-party integrations
Analytics & Reporting
- Build dashboards and reports to track campaign effectiveness
- Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders
- Test and refine strategies using performance data
Qualifications for Pardot Marketing Specialist
- 5+ years in marketing; 3+ years with Pardot and Salesforce CRM (hands-on)
- Expertise in B2B/B2C marketing funnels and customer journeys
- Experience in Agile project management environments
- Strong HTML/CSS skills
- Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Flexible and adaptable in fast-changing environments
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or IT
- Salesforce, Pardot, or Marketing Cloud certifications required
