About the Role: Marketing and Sales BSM
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Marketing and Sales BSM to support contract delivery, financial oversight, and stakeholder engagement across Scotland’s national timber sales programme.
This role sits within our Land Management and Regions Directorate and is essential in supporting our Head of Marketing & Sales and operational teams in executing FLS’s annual timber sales targets.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as Principal Contract Owner for long-term timber sales contracts, including Small Roundwood and haulage.

Oversee Open Market tender processes across Scotland, which account for 43% of annual timber sales.

Manage despatch, invoicing, and contract compliance across the Marketing & Sales function.

Produce accurate sales reports, forecasts, and dashboards for senior leadership.

Ensure audit and process compliance across contract and sales workflows.

Lead or support key projects and cross-team collaborations that improve operations.

Develop and implement business rules, protocols, and internal systems.

Actively engage with internal and external stakeholders to maintain effective communication and service delivery.
What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in contract management, project delivery, or similar operational roles.

Demonstrated ability to create and implement business rules and reporting structures.

Familiarity with timber sales, forestry, or land management is advantageous.

Strong communication and analytical skills to manage both operational data and stakeholder relationships.

Ability to lead multi-disciplinary projects and ensure regulatory and audit standards are upheld.
