About the Role

The Marketing Specialist will partner with Marketing Managers and Directors to develop and implement marketing strategies that align with Mayo Clinic’s mission, strategic plan, and business objectives. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution of marketing activities such as advertising, content development, digital campaigns, collateral creation, and event management.

You’ll provide strategic consultation, manage projects from start to finish, and evaluate results to ensure marketing efforts effectively support business goals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity, analytical thinking, relationship-building skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and execute strategic marketing plans in partnership with leadership.

  • Drive and monitor advertising, digital marketing, and content campaigns.

  • Develop and evaluate marketing collateral and event sponsorships.

  • Conduct competitive assessments and provide recommendations.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with a focus on results and impact.

  • Foster strong relationships with internal teams and stakeholders.

  • Represent Mayo Clinic internally and externally with professionalism.

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in marketing strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, healthcare, liberal arts, or related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of professional marketing experience.

  • Strong knowledge of marketing strategy and project management.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in digital marketing or marketing automation preferred.

  • Must work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Experience

  • Knowledge of recruitment and talent acquisition marketing strategies.

  • Experience leveraging paid media campaigns, social media, and landing page optimization.

  • Understanding of data analysis to identify marketing trends and performance insights.
