About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Math Tutor to provide daily one-on-one lessons to an 8-year-old student. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of engaging young learners, delivering personalized instruction, and fostering a long-term love for mathematics.
This is a unique opportunity to work closely with a curious and capable learner using a learner-centered and intrinsically motivated approach. Your goal will be to guide the student from basic arithmetic to advanced elementary mathematics through engaging, meaningful, and structured instruction.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver dynamic, personalized math lessons in fluent English, Monday through Friday.

Design and maintain a long-term learning roadmap that takes the student from foundational arithmetic to upper elementary-level math.

Create engaging and playful lessons that spark curiosity while ensuring conceptual clarity and mastery.

Establish a warm, structured, and consistent learning environment that builds respect and trust.

Monitor and document academic progress with qualitative insights and measurable outcomes.

Assign creative, meaningful, and intrinsically motivating homework, avoiding pressure-based approaches.

Collaborate with the broader education team to ensure consistency and continuity in the child’s learning.
Candidate Requirements:

Daily availability at the agreed-upon lesson time (Monday to Friday).

Proven experience tutoring children aged 7–9 in math, preferably in a one-on-one setting.

Ability to design and communicate a clear learning journey through elementary mathematics.

Strong classroom presence: nurturing, flexible, and structured.

Deep understanding of child development and intrinsic motivation.

Strong feedback and progress-tracking skills, with effective communication to parents or education coordinators.
Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.

Certification or training in child development, elementary math education, or pedagogy.
