Worley, a global leader in energy, chemicals, and resources, is hiring a Mechanical Fitter to join our Rotating Equipment Team for a fixed-term contract at Phillips 66 Refinery in Immingham. This role offers a competitive rate of £22.44 per hour with 38 hours per week, plus overtime during busy periods. The initial contract duration is six months, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements. Please note that lodging is not provided for this position.
Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter
- Perform mechanical construction activities as per project schedules, ensuring compliance with HSEQ standards.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and vendor representatives to maintain seamless workflow.
- Execute preventive maintenance and ensure proper alignment of machinery and pipework.
- Conduct daily tool checks to verify safety and operational efficiency.
- Participate in toolbox talks and project safety initiatives.
- Review construction workpacks and drawings to ensure accurate execution of tasks.
- Act as a Performing Authority for issuing mechanical construction permits and ensure tasks align with RAMS (Risk Assessment & Method Statements).
Qualifications & Certifications Required
- NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 Mechanical Fitter (or equivalent).
- Experience working with rotating equipment.
- CCNSG Safety Passport.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of Permit to Work systems.
- Manual handling expertise and MJI10/HEX bolted connection techniques.
- Previous oil and gas project experience.
